Shout Limited will collect and hold personal information about you, directly, or via a referee or relevant parties nominated by yourself, for recruitment and recruitment related purposes.
For candidates, the information that we will collect and hold will include your personal contact details such as: full name, email address, phone number, home address, academic and professional qualifications, work history, salary information, language skills, right to work in a particular country, and any information included within your CV or other information that is deemed necessary and relevant to the recruitment process. In accordance with the Hong Kong Labour Department (www.labour.gov.hk), we are also legally required to obtain your Hong Kong ID card number, or passport number (for non-Hong Kong residents).
We may also collect data from public records and third parties. If you provide us with personal data of a potential employee/referral, you will be responsible for ensuring that such person has given you his/her consent for sharing the data with Shout Limited.
For clients, the contact information that we will collect and hold will include your name, email address, phone number, office address, and other information that is deemed necessary and relevant to the recruitment process.
It is also possible that a prospective employer will request a personal reference check or checks to collect feedbacks from the candidate’s previous employment contacts for deciding their fit to a particular job opening(s). These reference checks will be conducted by Shout Limited only when the candidate has provided us with your explicit written consent(s) to do so. You will also help to provide contact(s) of referees to ensure we could reach out the relevant referees in a timely manner.
Shout Limited will use your personal information specifically for recruitment and recruitment related purposes (including but not limited to candidate introduction, search and selection, placement of candidate, reference checks, post-placement care, career advisory and coaching), or to carry out marketing activities including automated email messages, text messages. If you do not wish to receive such communications, you may unsubscribe from such communications at any time. In the event that your personal information is required to be provided to a third-party assessment vendor (including but not limited to assessment centers, psychometric or skills tests, reference/background checks, third party vendors), we will only do so when we have received your explicit consent. We may also disclose your personal data if it is required or authorized by law, where disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life, health or safety, or where we are otherwise permitted by data privacy law. In the event of any reorganization, merger, sale of Shout, we may share your personal data with the new owners of the business and their advisers and if this happens, you will be notified of such an event
In the event that the Client requires Shout to host the employment relationship with the Candidate, we will seek consent from the Candidate first before we use their data to process the required administrative duties to perform the task (including but not limited to payroll administration, enrollment and contribution to Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme, Employee’s Compensation and related liability insurance).
You may, at any time, access, request to update, or remove your personal information stored with Shout Limited upon verification of your identity. Shout Limited collects personal information through a variety of communication channels and will try our best to ensure confidence with the channels (though security of the nature of these channels is not guaranteed)
